Happy Cats Haven

Happy Cat Haven is a happy cat heaven! My 19 year old cat passed in January and our family felt like it was time to get a new member. After several no-pressure visits, Erebus (Anubis) was the special guy and came home on Sunday. He is still adjusting to his new house, but we know that the excellent treatment he received at HCH has made him cuddly, friendly and curious. We are so happy to have a new forever family member. Thank you!

A few months after losing my best cat-friend to cancer, I was ready to bring home a new kitten. I found Happy Cats after doing some searching and immediately saw a kitten on their site that I wanted to meet. I filled out an application and a few hours later received a call to set up a meet and greet with the kitten that same day. Everyone was SO incredibly nice and helpful and the facility is great as well! You can tell the cats are cared for very well and that everyone there cares about their well being. Thank you to everyone here for helping me make my house a home again with the perfect kitten!!

We found our Ella (Velvet was her name at Happy Cats) after our Earl Grey passed away. We found Earl at Happy Cats too. This is a great facility to adopt cats. Ella was around 4 years old when we adopted her. At first she was scared and still has nightmares from whatever it was she went through before we found her, but quickly her personality started to shine through. She has the sweetest soul and she's also a little bossy but very respectful (she won't even jump on me while I'm sleeping but she will meow a special way to let me know its time to go to bed). She does a dance of excitement in which she puffs her fur out a bit, moves her tail back and forth and then stomps her back feet. Its super cute. Someone from Happy Cats just called to check on Ella (aka Velvet) and I really appreciate it. I also want to thank the lady who saved her. We will go back to Happy Cats for another kitty in the near future.

The kitties are very well take care of and happy! you can tell by how chill they are being petted and picked up. None of the cats seemed over stimulated as in some cafes and shelters I have visited. They had a nice little shop with cat beds,litter boxes, scratchers and toys. The place was clean and the cafe attached to the shelter happen to have a grand opening day on my girlfriends birthday so we popped in to look at some kitties and grab a coffee. We were welcomed in and given great info and there were so many kitties we could pick up and bond with. When it is time to adopt one more we will definitely be going here!

Absolutely amazing no-kill shelter in our area. This is a place that truly cares and specializes in cats, cat behavioral issues and care. It's a wonderful place that enriches our community with events, free child literacy programs, classes to help you train your cat, Trap Neuter Return programs, feral colonies support and much more. They offer a wonderful environment for volunteers to help and make a difference in the Pikes Peak region.
